It’s the reason why the ironing sometimes gets neglected, supper is a bit late, and frankly, the reason why I can smile and wave, when someone has stepped on my last nerve.
What I’m trying to say, is that crafting is not an indulgence – it’s essential for my survival (and while we’re being honest, the survival of others in my inner-circle;-). But there, is a problem…
Crafting involves many complex choices. For instance – which medium should I use? Beads, wool, yarn, paper… or what about clay, glass – the possibilities are endless! Once you’ve made the important first choice of what medium to use, the responsibilities don’t end there – colour combinations, tool selection, and patterns/ templates!
Non-crafters (read husbands) don’t always understand how complex the preparation process is. So, I should just come clean here and now, and confess that I NEVER discriminate against crafts, and that’s why you’ll find a wide scope of craft ideas, patterns, tutorials and designs at Beady Bug. The other problem is that after you’ve made all the necessary choices and preparations, you need to find a way to get the co-operation of the clock…
After MANY decades of crafting, I began to get requests for patterns for my designs. So, if you’ll bear with me, I’ll gradually digitise them and upload them here for purchase.
Freebies are awesome, and you will of course, be able to find freebies and resources here from time to time. Thank you for crafting with me, and I hope we’ll be ‘surviving’ together for a very long time.
